Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup

Spring Time...it's that time of year again...when we need to clean up after a long winter. Please join us once again for the Great Lakes Watershed Clean Up at the West Side Rowing Club in exactly 30 days!!! In conjuntion with Earth Day!

When? Saturday, April 26: Meet at West Side Rowing Club (WSRC) parking lot just off Rotary Row at 10:00AM. Currently this is a "rain or shine" event. Please be prepared for inclement weather. We are scheduled for 10:00AM meet up and probably work until roughly 12:30PM. Do not feel obligated to stay until 1:00 but if you can it would be great.

Advisable to bring (but not mandatory):

• Heavy duty gardening gloves
• 5 gal bucket
• Pick up tool for garbage (I do have some if you don't have one)
• Drinking water & snack
• Proper attire & footwear for weather

Note: We will be doing work on our section of the Niagara Greenway trail/path and also at the WSRC park/gardens area. The scope of work consists of picking up garbage & debris, sweeping/clearing organic debris off of the paved trail, and extraction of some dead perennials, weeds, branches and organic material on the trail and WSRC property.

NOTE: BNMC Rotary Club adopted section of trail is from Porter Ave. to Busti and Hampshire Streets.

• Please check in at the pop up tent and sign an event waiver.
• Hot coffee and Timbits will be available.
• WSRC will provide garbage bags for the event.
